The Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) is a part of the U.S. Military Health System. Specifically, it is the traumatic brain injury (TBI) operational component of the Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (DCoE). T2 was established as a DoD organization at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in 2008 from the Army Behavioral Health Technology Office (ABHTO) at Madigan Army Medical Center. T2 has an office in the National Capitol Region for coordination with DCoE and other DoD, VA and government agencies.
