Life isn't always easy after a deployment. That's where Vet Centers can help. Vet Centers across the country provide a broad range of counseling, outreach, and referral services to combat Veterans and their families. Vet Centers guide Veterans and their families through many of the major adjustments in lifestyle that often occur after a Veteran returns from combat. Services for a Veteran may include individual and group counseling in areas such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), alcohol and drug assessment, and suicide prevention referrals. All services are free of cost and are strictly confidential.

The African American Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Association (AA PTSD Assn.) is a non-partisan, non-profit, 501(c) 3, National Veteran's Service Organization. We are dedicated to the service of All Veterans and the family members of veterans in the achievement and education of Veterans Benefits as provided in Public Laws, Chapter 38 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and Title 38 United States Code (USC). Please Note: We are not an organization that helps only minority Veterans, and/or Veterans with PTSD!!! We assist ALL Veterans, of ALL colors/race/creed/gender with ALL claims to be presented to the VA for compensation and/or pension.

Veterans, or family members, who served in any combat zone and received a military campaign ribbon (Vietnam, Southwest Asia, OEF, OIF, etc.) are eligible for Vet Center services. Readjustment counseling is provided to include a wide range services to eligible Veterans and their families in the effort to support a successful transition from military to civilian life. Services include: Individual, family, and group counseling Bereavement counseling for families who experience an active duty death Military sexual trauma counseling and referral Normal working hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. In an effort to better serve the veteran and family members, upon request Vet Centers will provide services after normal work hours and/or on weekends.

The Blinded Veterans Association (BVA) is an organization of blinded veterans helping blinded veterans. Through our service programs, regional groups, resources, and advocacy before the legislative and executive branches of government, we hope to make life better for blinded veterans. We also hope to be there with encouragement and support. There is no charge for any BVA service and membership is not a prerequisite to obtain help. All legally blinded veterans are also eligible for BVA's assistance whether they become blind during or after active duty military service.
