Welcome to American Legion "Cathay" Post 384 in San Francisco, CA, a US veteran's organization. We are here to support fellow veterans, youth programs, and the local community. We currently have two locations, our main club house located in the North Beach district of San Francisco and a shared satellite facility at the San Francisco War Memorial Building (currently undergoing seismic retrofit and renovation - scheduled for completion in July 2015).
Active duty and prior service members are welcome, please email or visit our Post to see if you are eligible for membership. For those that have not been part of the US military, we have a support group that is actively lending a hand to the Post, US veterans, and our community. We have approximately 150 events during the year! There should be an event for everyone! Our oldest member hails from World War II and many members are still serving in our military. Approximately a third of our members are veterans of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and/or Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), making us Desert Storm era-vets the old timers and our Vietnam and beyond vets our mentors.
Our general monthly meetings are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 11 a.m. followed by a luncheon where we share each other's company and stories. Young or old, big or small, Marine or Air Force, come visit our Post and see why for over 80 years, Cathay Post 384 is the leading veteran's organization in San Francisco. I promise an exciting and dynamic experience for all. May God Bless America and return our troops safely.
