Our mission is to help homeless veterans or at risk of becoming homeless veterans, regain, maintain, and improve their status in society by providing a secure environment through which a wide array of human services can be accessed in an atmosphere of dignity and mutual concern.
First, it's important that you know that 100% of your donation goes to the veterans we are working with; none of your donation goes to salaries, fundraising, or administration costs. When you make the choice to help homeless veterans, we honor your generosity by putting your money and other types of donations to work directly where you intended...and where it will do the most good, with the veterans that so desperately need your help!
In California, estimates are that there are 1,972,000 living in the state; and that there are an estimated 46,000 veterans living in Kern County. Using the national estimate of 13% of those veterans being homeless, you can see that we have a large number of people who need our help...and yours!
Thank you for helping us to improve the life of veterans and for caring enough to support CVAF. Please help us spread the word that CVAF is here to help because of people like you. If all of us just do a little, we can make a major change in the lives of homeless veterans.
